Social Media Tips
I just ran across an article on Social Media 101 that had some good solid advice that I found very valuable to me personally. Basically, it’s telling you to stop spending more money on anything online (meaning, Internet marketing) if you don’t have a plan and “don’t know what you’re doing”. The quote below spoke to me in particular (I made one sentence bold that tells it all like it is):
“Bottom line folks… quit spending money when you have no plan. Take the time to set objectives, goals and a strategy. Random Acts of Marketing will get you no where but to random returns. Random returns does not equal Return on Investment that is postive. It is usually just the opposite and close to impossible to measure.”
This is so true! It has taken me quite a while (and quite a steep learning curve full of trial and error) to figure that out. And even now I sometimes find it hard to focus on just one thing… But if you set your objectives, goals and strategy right from the start, this should be your compass and guide you towards your goal, no matter what round-about ways you may find yourself wandering at times.
